Mathew Brown was born and raised right here in Western North Carolina. He is an outside-the-box thinker who can creatively pivot. His family has called this area home for 130+ years. His great-great-grandfather (Thomas K Brown I) chartered The Town of Black Mountain in 1893 and was the town's first mayor. Coming from a long line of entrepreneurs, his family even had the first car dealership in the town during the period in which the automobile was created. He has a degree in Entrepreneurship/Innovation from Western Carolina University. Growing up, Mathew spent many of his summers working on the family farm where the Browns raised Angus cattle. His family's property is not only for raising cattle. In fact, it is where a portion of the movie "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri" was filmed.
